In 2009, Michael was 13. He clapped his hands with joy when he learnt he had a sponsor for his education. This meant he could continue, uninterrupted through secondary school and on to university. Something every student in Uganda values the most.
Now, 12 years later, Michael has finally graduated from university as a Clinical Officer. He has returned to Kabubbu, the place he loves and grew up in, to be part of the medical team in the Kabubbu Health Centre.
