Education
Education is the key to communities lifting themselves out of poverty. It gives students of all ages the abilities they need to apply for skilled jobs, allowing them to support their families financially. It enables them to access information and make informed choices about their own healthcare, learning, family planning, and a host of other areas. And finally, it restores the sense of self-worth and achievement that poverty so often strips away.
That’s why Quicken Trust set up the Child Partnership program. Sponsors sign up to support a child, or children, in need of an education, and recieve updates on their progress and goals. Many sponsors keep supporting their partnered child throughout their whole educational life, sometimes even to university.
Through our partners at KDP, we also offer adult education and training, so that those who were unable to be educated as children have a way to provide a stable future for their families.
