‘Mum was my great hero. She made a lot of sacrifices to see me through childhood and school. She always advised me on how to become a strong, good living, upright child. One Christmas, she prepared food for the family and went to wash. She fainted. We took her to the hospital, straight to the intensive care unit.
She died two hours later.’
