More than 850 volunteers have visited Kabubbu in the past eight years. Everyone says what a life-changing and life-challenging effect it has had on them. Your visit will be no exception!
Around 100 are already booked to take part in volunteer projects in 2010 building homes for destitute families and assisting in class work in the primary and secondary schools.
They also take part in a Development Challenge. In teams of five they visit a destitute family in a tumbledown house, talk with the family and as a group assess the needs. Then, with limited resources, they decide how to best bring support. The challenge is a microcosm of the challenges facing any development organisation and is evidence of the type of decisions Quicken Trust working with the Kabubbu Development Project face almost daily.
'I loved being there and can't wait to go back. It's a privilege to be able to do something to help and it's humbling too' (A. Butcher)
