Enoch & Lilian Kagoda returned to Kabubbu after a whirlwind visit to the UK. They met hundreds people in the south-east of England and return with many new friends committed to assisting the community in Kabubbu. They thank you for your welcome and your commitment.

We celebrate the beginning of a new church in Kabubbu supported by the other churches, the Kabubbu Community Church. Under the leadership of Pastor Peter (pictured above), a teacher at Kabubbu’s primary school, it has been created to provide spiritual support to boarding students at Trust High. Pastor Peter has already brought together the other churches to train for leadership of the Alpha course. 21 leaders have been trained and courses for the community begin later this year.

Our eighth annual event takes place this year from 25th -27th July in Hailsham. 40 teams of four needed to sit on exercise bikes and pedal for an hour sponsored by companies, families and friends. We have raised £115,000 at this event over the past seven years.

Our 2008 theme is ‘Giving the Gift of Life’. 100% of monies raised will go to support mothers with AIDS who, with the correct treatment and nutrition, will be given added years to their lives to raise their families. Our target for 2008 is £14,000 (£350 per hour).

Come and play Uganda’s first (and only) Crazy Golf Course at Kabubbu – and while you are there help build a house, be a teacher assistant, play games or read to the schoolchildren, visit a family in their home and decide how a limited fund can help them – and so much more!
