This CD brings together a collection of some of the songs they brought to schools and to their concerts and expresses a dynamic love of life despite their circumstances.
The common greeting in Kabubbu is "How was the night for you?" In a country with over 1 million orphans the question is a serious one. These children from Kabubbu have known the pain of seeing their parents not live through the night. But still they have hope.
Their life is hard. They get up when the cock crows at around 5.00am. They have to collect water in 20 litre containers for the families they live with from a stream or borehole that could be more than a mile away. They have to sweep their compound and light a fire that will be used for cooking. Then they have to walk to school which may take two hours. But they value education as their hope for a better life.
They invite you to share in their lives - and despite their hardships - their hope and joy. Thank you for helping us to remember 'The Forgotten People'.
